CheckMyDisk was built from the ground up with a singular philosophy: Your data belongs to you.

1. No Cloud Uploads

Unlike other storage analyzers, CheckMyDisk operates 100% locally on your machine. We do not upload your file names, folder structures, or disk contents to any server. Ever.

2. Telemetry & Analytics

We do not track your usage. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs inside the Mac app. Crash reports are entirely opt-in through Apple's native crash reporting system.

3. Payment Processing

Payments are handled securely via Stripe/Paddle. We do not store your credit card details. We only store your email address for the sole purpose of sending your license key.
